Support Help Portrait today! I’m doing something to support this on my own – but I would like you all to think about a way that YOU might be able to help others with your photography/video.
Remember – wonderfully lit photographs are beautiful – but the effort and connection even with a simply point and shoot or iPhone would work! BE INVOLVED – HELP OTHERS. Check out the Help-Portrait site to find out more about this project.
Perhaps you could photograph / film people who need a new headshot or video profile so that they can find a job… there are endless ways to give back – frankly: even if it’s not today!
we do free photos for families in estepona, malaga in our studio when they request a “familia numerosa” ie when it is a big familiy that needs a photo to prove it to social security. Never advertised it . But its on the house when asked for.
I didn’t know about Help-Portrait before!
Thanks for sharing this – now I know!
Just watched this story at “Help-Portrait” and it brings back some amazing memories!
Last year, about this time, I was spending my last day (of a short trip) riding a “Jack Johnson” skateboard in Los Angeles, when these group of 5 kids and their Grandma stumbled upon me. The kids were so amazing and wanted to know if I would join them and play basketball at the park … I spent the next two hours, taking photo’s, playing bball and teaching them to ride a skateboard (which they had never done before).
The incredible feeling and impact that they had on me … I can’t put it into words. This is such a great reminder of the good we can do for others and how it impacts our own lives … and it’s so simple. U dig … thank-you.
