Shooter’s Insight – VW Spec

This is a quick post – and “Oldie but a Goodie” if you will. You may remember me posting this a little while back, when it was being hosted by Canon’s “Shooter’s Insight Page.” The voice you hear and the Canon rep I’m speaking with is the one and only Chuck Westfall (the real one! Long story if you don’t know…)
I just wanted to point out that these behind the scenes videos are now available on Vimeo – which means they can much more easily shared or you can click on their new “watch later” button… Above, I have embedded the seventh and final installment of the series: “Shooting Tips.” Below, you can find links to the other six episodes. And if you haven’t had a chance to check out the VW Spec commercial that came out of it all -you can see it HERE.
Fantastic post. Thank you for the insights!
Would it be possible to do a more detailed blog on DLSR workflow? Especially with color grading? I ask because I’ve been mixing Red 2k with DSLR footage in Premiere, which has been quite difficult to export an EDL into Da Vinci, and even worse when exporting from Da Vinci.
Great tips Vincent. My favorite part of your BTS video is you traveling with fire hydrant in the backseat!
I guess that prop would work well traveling with a dog on a ling roadtrip as well…
