New Site, New Reel, New Limited Edition Prints
I’m very excited to announce the launch of my new website, a new reel for 2010, and a new series of fine art limited edition prints.
Needless to say – getting all of those elements lined up (from a variety of disciplines) all at once was a huge team effort.
If you haven’t had a chance to see some of my fine art work – you can find it here. There are many new prints that have been added to the collection in time for this update.
I’ve been very fortunate to see some of my prints hanging at The International Center of Photography, at entrances to large corporations, and printed several feet wide as a center piece in many people’s homes around the globe. Personally, I find that having one of my prints hanging in someone’s home – especially a large print in someone’s entrance or main room – is one of the biggest honors that I have felt as a photographer. It means more to me than having it hanging in a museum or than an award for example. Given the nature of the aerial and tilt-shift work that I have done – the 60X40 prints are by far the most common sizes that are ordered – and I have to say that every single time that we print a 5 foot wide print of one of these images – it’s such a pleasure to study then. It can feel like playing “Where’s Waldo” with some of the images.
You’ll find two different series of prints there – one that is a premium collection, and another series of limited edition prints – all signed and printed on fine art archival inkjet prints. The limited edition prints are at a higher price point as only a limited series of prints of these images will ever be produced.
You’ll also find a new reel on both the new site- and below:

I’d like to thank Benjamin Nussbaum for putting together a fantastic edit together. Ben also edited Nocturne a few months ago – and he and his post house Pictures in a Row have been fantastic partners.
I’d also like to thank the fantastic team at LiveBooks for their incredible work – and frankly: their incredible amount of patience. Trying to create a website while traveling almost constantly – is a huge challenge. It wasn’t uncommon to have conference calls with me calling from overseas, with the staff in my office in LA, and a group of designers and flash artists at LiveBooks. Dayle Hendrickson (Designer) Adam Royer (Flash Artist/Designer) and Bert Hall (Production Coordinator) did an incredible job.
Well that’s it for now – go out and check out the new site at http://www.laforetvisuals.com/ and let me know what you think!
Hope in completing your reel, this now means you will have a chance to chill (for a moment), enjoy your family, and appreciate the Pacific sunsets!!
Awesome work, Sir!
great stuff! Looking forward to watching and following your work closely
Beautiful work Vincent!
KILLER!
Love the new Reel! Nice work!
However, the new site seems to be in a redirect loop between laforetvisuals.com and vincentlaforet.com. I’d love to check it out once this gets fixed!

@Will Godfrey, Sounds like a DNS issue – it can take a few hours to a few days for the new internet info to spread out and propagate! So check in a few hours and see if you’re still having this problem –
Good work!
Very nice reel. When can we expect to view it on your iPad app?
Very cool reel dude! How long you been shooting movies now?
Extremely smooth transition.
Very nice reel. The edit has a very smooth, organic quality to it. It really kept me engaged. Not sure about the intro helicopter animation on the site though.
It’s been inspiring following your evolution to motion over the last year +.
That reel looks amazing, superb quality
Amazing shots.
Bests from Japan!
Congrats on your new site and reel, both of which look lovely. I wish you the best with your new career endeavor(Cinematography).
Does not load under Chrome on OS X, or at least it wouldn’t for me… Looks great in Firefox, though!
Nice shot at 1:39 sec. Model+Scenery+Lighting=LV
Vince,
Very impressive reel and website.
Your “old” colleagues back in NY/NJ are very happy for you.
It’s been fun watching you navigate through this exciting world of merging visual technologies.
Hope to see you soon.

Bravo! Absolutely spectacular work!!
That is just unreal. The Greatest, by the Greatest! New Site Rocks TOO!!!!
Great reel Vince!
I was pleasantly surprised when I visited your site today =) The new site design is quite different from your previous one, and the new reel is great (as usual)…
You know as we all change and develop our styles & focus in photography, it makes sense that we change & evolve the way we share our vision too.
If I had some feedback to give, I would say that it would be nice to be able to go from one gallery to another without having to click on Portfolio each time. Not a huge deal…I can get used to it.
Congrats again on the “new” launch…all the best!
WOW! Just wow. Love the reel, the music, everything…so good. Just shot my first music video with the 5d and was thankful for all the info you have on the web as a resource. Congrats on the new site.
Flash? 2010 year? Are you serious?
Really nice reel vince, great work!
Fabulous reel vince, nice work!
Vincent
I think your work is terrific
Nocturne was groundbreaking – it opened the world’s eyes to the DLSR potential
Reel has an amazing collection of clips but there didnt seem to be any story line to tie it together
Look forward to all your future work

Explosions in the Sky, right?
If so [and I’m very confident], great choice.
wow, that reel is fantastic! are you serious about the bmw shot with the stars? how did you pull that off? Wouldn’t you need very slow and extremely precise movement combined with no additional lights for a relatively extremely long time? I’m impressed!
One reason I come to your website and blog, is that I love your work, and I love how you like to share ideas to help others. Funny thing, that little graphic of the helicopter on the home page just cracked me up. 🙂 As they say, it is you.
Hi Vincent, i am building my own photography portfolio website and have been using your site for inspiration, i love it. I want to display my images large and in the middle of the page with a next/previous button just like on your website, but i can’t seem to find a tutorial to create something like that. Did you design it with Flash or what? Please help me and Thanks!
Well, that rocks! Thanks for reminding me where the bar is. Metaphorically speaking…
very nice!
LOVE the new reel, and the site ain’t too bad either…hope you guys are doin great.
Amazing website! I’m wondering if you would want to add some margin between your photos and the top of the browser. I’ll go into “Fine Art Prints” and I feel like it’s cutting the top of the photograph. Visually uncomfortable. But other than that it’s incredible. Keep us updated with the latest!
Just wonderful and stunning Vincent! Takes my breath away.
Awesome video 🙂
Regards
OH MY GAWDD!!! This was fantastic.
The editing of the last few seconds (the two jumps, climaxing with the ocean) was just wonderful. A perfect closing.
Gorgeous stuff!
