It’s been an eventful year… timing out until 2012 – see you then!

2011 was incredibly eventful – as you’ll see in the video below.
I just wanted to thank all of the readers of the blog, the blog’s supporters, and everyone I know and have had the chance to meet, share a few laughs, and work with in the past year.
I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and new year celebration! I hope you can spend it with friends, loved ones, and family – not computers! 😉
To that end – I’m going to unplug entirely from my computer for the next dozen days for the first time since I began interacting with the internet. Wish me luck!
See you all in 2012!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to you to Vincent. I have learned a lot reading this blog this past year, and I look forward to learning more next year.
Once again Vincent has provided an exclamation point with a beautiful piece of simple artistry. You have to love his imagination and vision.
Thank you, Vincent. Meant to introduce myself in the Austin event but it seemed intrusive. You’ve been an inspiration and invaluable source of knowledge to me this year. I’ve gone from shooting vids of my kids in Feb to several commercial & web broadcast productions (albeit small scale) thanks to your guidance. When ever has there been a time when that could happen? Exciting times.
Keep it up…I’ll definitely be following.
well done vincent, the old newspaper guy coming out eh?
Not a video camera in sight!.
Have a great xmas, new year, 2012 is going to be as exciting as 2011 , nothing stands still!!!

Thanks for being an inspiration and mentor for so many Vincent. Looking forward to next year.
Dear Vincent, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and want to thank you for all the inspiration and incredible works you shared with us here ….
Looking forward to see even more in 2012.
Best Regards,
Peter
Thank you for sharing this video! I always love your videos. Your selection is just spot on.
I hope we see more short films from you next year!
I wish to see something between mobius and reviere:)
You did us all proud this year Vincent! and got to convince me to save for my own c300:)) just like you did 2 years before that with 5D mark 2:))
and also shared loads of useful info.
You are great! Wish you all the best!
“it’s just that these days it’s less common to have kind of a love affair with the beauty of your everyday world. Granted, New York City is a mecca of sorts, but my goal as a photojournalist at the Times was just to see the inherent beauty in the everyday and to share that discovery with the world in a photograph.”
This is the best line of your book to me. These are words that I live by. A photo that inspires someone to get out and see the world in a brighter light or simply see something like a pile of trash as compositionally beautiful is why I do what I do.
Great line to a great book, thanks for sharing.
Dear Vincent, Thank you for being such an inspiration and a mentor and for sharing your knowledge and time with us! I always look forward to reading your blog! Any contest coming up in 2012?
Have a great blessed holiday season and a Magical Happy New year!
Tiziana
P.S. I see your commercial playing all the time! Fantastic! Love Love your work!!!
Vincent, i’m a newcomer here, but I am loving your blog! Hope you have a merry christmas!!
Hi Vincent, I know this goes against the whole not spending time with the computer thing but always love reading your blog so wanted to wish you and your family a great Christmas and New Year too. Really looking forward to seeing next year’s projects as I’m sure they will be as mind blowing as those of 2011.

I wish I had the luxury of unplugging from my computer for a dozen days…I think it is a great undertaking and one I hope to achieve some day! Between you and Philip I get my HDSLR tech/moviemaking fill! Although I have to say, you take it to a whole different level…ivy-league style. Thank you
Thanks for sharing with us your blog Vincent, always enjoyable to read & watch and I often pick up on something new.
Have a great new year and take care

Happy New Year, Vincent!
great to see you in Singapore. hahaha love it that you were not going full on canon pitch, very fair and enlighening answers in the Q and A. Escepcially the one about taking photos and markets.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and work with us during the first leg of the Cinema EOS Southeast Asia tour. I am truly inspired by your passion for sharing a compelling story with powerful imagery.
Really loved how the cinematography and music were used to full effect in Mobius. I hope you’ll be able to share more good stories in the future. Good luck with the feature film!
