Upcoming workshop: Masters in Motion – Austin, TX

On November 14-16th I will be speaking at the Masters in Motion conference and leading workshops at the Alamo Draft House in Austin, TX.

The three day event is a series of nine in depth presentations, spanning the spectrum of filmmaking – from the technical to the imaginative. Speaking alongside me will be Philip Bloom, Tom Guilmette, Khalid Mohtaseb, Jonathan Bregel, Tyler Ginter, Joe Simon, and Adam Forgione.  These guys are at the top of their game and are incredibly fun to work with.  I know I’m very excited to be going there in a little over to weeks!

There are sill a few spots left for the event.   If you are interested please check out the complete schedule of presentations by clicking HERE.

  • So torn. I am in the area, and would be able to make it. However, right now I have set aside just enough for my preliminary gear to invest in: Tripod, slider, Camera. Barely enough for all three.

I have no doubt some of this money might be better spent in education/training such as this (especially the composition, audio, and lighting courses), but I’m wondering how much of it’s geared towards professionals who already work on large production crews, or if it would also cater to aspiring professionals such as myself who would be starting out on my own from scratch, working on one-man-band type of productions and has limited resources.

    Hi Vincent,
I am very excited about the conference! How often do you get such talent together ina cool place like Austin?! I am looking forward to learning a lot!

This may be a silly question, but are we supposed to bring gear? Or just a paper and pen?

See you in a couple of weeks…

Paper and pen – or bring your gear – my class will be about getting hands on – so use our stuff – or bring your own – all good w/ me!
